Leo Awards Shenanigans

Dabbling in Acting myself as a youngster I have always been mildly obsessed with the movie business. It is glamourous yet also very griddy. The amount of emotional warfare that goes on in that industry, was more than I could bare. Being a sensitive little Pisces, is not exactly ideal in that world and at age 12 the rejection was just too much. I do however still adore movie making and I think its just.....magical.


The Leo Awards is one of my favourite events to be invited to as there are so many amazing movies coming out of Vancouver and the talent pool here is vast and deep. Congratulations to all the nominees and winners! Here are some of the pix of the evening, but the best parts are never really captured are they?

Fashionilla.com Looking for Designers

Hello Everyone,


I have to say it has been an amazing post launch so far and I wanted to thank everyone who has been supportive through the infancy of Fashionilla. I am so proud of the talent we have on here right now; from our amazing designers in our marketplace to the freelance fashion industry peeps that continue to sign up everyday.


From the beginning of starting this project, I have had one main goal; to promote and connect independent fashion entrepreneurs by creating ONE place where they can showcase their talent and network with one another. The process has been filled with ups and downs (as with most new businesses) and I am thrilled to see it at this stage. We are still met with some confusion as to "what it is all about" and when you are creating something new, this is very normal. I sometimes say its like if Facebook and Etsy got married and had a baby which they called Craigslist. So Fashionilla may not have all the functionality that these websites have combined but they serve the same purpose on a smaller scale.


We have our Marketplace which is where independent designers from all over the world can start their own e-com store and our users can have direct access to goods from the ones who are creating them.


Our social networking Community is where users can create profiles, showcase their service by uploading pictures to their portfolios and network with other members. All geared to open up new business opportunities.


Then we have our Source listings which serves as a hub where people can come and find services within the fashion community.


My favourite part is the marketplace of course! I am so excited about every brand that we are featuring and love....well, pretty much every product on there!! All the collections are fantastically unique, and created with care and the utmost quality. 


I will be showcasing designers on here so you guys can get to know how fabulous they are and how gorgeous the designs they create are.
