Wednesday | What I Wore

Happy Humpity Hump Day! Since I work from home it doesn't make much difference to me, but I have worked 9-5 jobs and I can remember the joys of Wednesdays! Knowing that Friday is just around the corner brought me much excitement....probably cause I never really loved my jobs! Now that I am finally in the throws of building a business that I love and that will help others, I could work 7 days a week and be thoroughly content.

Here is one of my favourite outfit combos: frilly, girly dresses and leather jackets! My wicked independent label purse from GAYA is just the right pop of colour. My new granny retro Renauld sunskies that I found for a dollar are my new obsessions! Thanks to Paul Behm Photography for the pic pics and Kym Davidson of Swank Makeup for the war paint!

Trend Tuesdays | Woven Bags

I am a big believer that a good handbag makes or breaks an outfit. If you wear a cheap purse, in my opinion, your whole outfit appears to be cheap. So though I love a good bargain like anyone else, I do invest in good quality, unique items to mix in with my...well...bargain items, and the number one investment piece for me is a good bag.

I recently purchased a couple of delicious new, small,  over the shoulder bags, one in black and one in neon green that I am simply giddy about. They are both leather, I know shocking right? Nothing beats the longevity of a good leather purse because I like to keep my stuff forever!!! But throughout the SS12 fashion shows, I have been eyeing a very different bag trend that I am not hating. I am surprisingly loving the woven purses I have spotted in various collections, here are a few of my favourites.

Thursday | Indie Label Love

On a day-to-day basis I scour the net for new and emerging designers to feature on Fashionilla.com and it really is overwhelming the talent out there! I stumbled upon Ellery and had to share my excitement for this line with you!

I have been raving about the Peplum trend and they have incorporated my fave spring style into their Resort '11 collection which I just literally drooled over!
