Model Mondays | Crystal Renn

Check out and join Fashionilla.com!!! I first heard of Crystal Renn when she went on her book tour promoting her memoirs of being an anorexic model and becoming a plus-sized. I was intrigued and delighted to know that her career was flourishing in an industry that promotes emaciated, coat hanger type models. Year after year the models just keep getting skinnier it seems, but there is a shift happening, to which Crystal Renn is a part of.

She is gorgeous, full figured and is getting gigs...lots of them! Despite the bad publicity she has received lately due to her weight lose (from a size 12 down to 6-8), I am still very hopeful that this trend that she is a part of will continue. I am digging the healthier looking models on the runway and I give her kudos for pursuing her passion throughout the numbers on the labels.

A then larger Crystal looking hot!

  1. Yeah I totally like her and I want to read this book, but the last photo really stroke me : she isn't even "plus size" anymore ! People are gonna think she used this "plus size" publicity to get famous but wanted to get thinner again after that... That's a shame

  2. You are probably right about that but I think she still looks much healthier than most models going down the runways.

  3. All the men I know really favor the curves. Its the difference between driving on a straight track or racing around one with twists and turns. The twists and turns are much more exciting. It's nice to see clothes fitted to a naturally curvy woman's body. Heck look at the women the Kennedy's loved, oh yeah can't forget Clinton, and Elliot Spitzer either. A lot of the world leaders seem to endorse the curves, so why not the rest of us.
